I have had lots of editing happening. The wedding that I shot on the 17th was awesome. If you’re from NW Ohio like we are, maybe you noticed it rained? It totally did….but it did not stress us out. Did the rain suck? Nope. It added “something” to the whole first look that’s unexplainable. Also, it gave us a legit reason to bust out some of the couple’s umbrellas. (I’m not particularly fond of props when there’s no explainable reason why they’re in the photos.) It’s still great to think back to that moment and know I rocked it. Some would look at it and say, “Oh the lighting was horrible that early. I wouldn’t have shot the photos then.” or they’d say, “I’d have found an indoor location to shoot instead of in the rain.” Not me. There is no reason to get stressed out or change plans. That’s not my style. Just step back for a minute and look at all the beauty that happens during a light rain….and shoot! This spot is where the couple got engaged! It’s so significant to them and makes me super happy about capturing their first look photos there…and we were prepared with umbrellas. It could not have been more perfect! I love it.

How am I gonna be an optimist about this?” -Bastille
On a side note: I recently posted all of the photos from Makers Mart on 4-19 Day that I was so excited about! Talk about amazing vendors and artists. I bought so many awesome goodies and was totally inspired while photographing everyone. You can check out all of the photos in the Facebook album here and get inspired yourself (whether to make your own crafts or buy some).
